Three months isn't necessarily too long, but I'd be cautious about assuming it's just nerves being unpredictable. When my daughter had her implant done, we were initially told the same thing—"just give it time." But after pushing for a second opinion, turns out there was a minor infection slowing things down. Once that was treated, recovery sped up noticeably. Supplements might help, sure, but I'd definitely recommend ruling out other issues first... better safe than sorry.

Definitely agree with this. I've seen cases where patients had lingering discomfort after implants, and it turned out to be subtle inflammation or minor infection. Worth getting checked again just to ease your mind... better cautious than regretful later.

Totally agree here, subtle inflammation can really drag things out longer than you'd expect. Had a friend who went through something similar—kept thinking the discomfort was normal post-op stuff. Turns out, it was a mild infection just simmering quietly. Once they addressed it, he felt way better in just a few days. Always worth double-checking with your dentist if something doesn't feel quite right... recovery shouldn't be a guessing game.

Yeah, totally makes sense. I've been feeling some lingering discomfort myself—nothing major, but enough to wonder. Did your friend have any other symptoms besides mild pain or swelling? Curious what else to look out for...

Lingering discomfort can be pretty normal, especially if it's mild—sometimes your gums and bone just take their sweet time healing. But you're smart to keep an eye on it. Usually, besides mild pain or swelling, some people notice sensitivity around the implant site or even a weird taste in their mouth (gross, I know...). If anything feels off or gets worse, definitely trust your gut and check in with your dentist. Better safe than sorry, right? Hang in there—it gets better!
