Totally relate to that weird shifting feeling...I kept thinking something was wrong too. My dentist suggested a shorter wait before the implant, but now I'm wondering if waiting longer might've been better. Glad yours worked out well though—gives me hope mine will settle soon.

I get where you're coming from—timing can be tricky. Usually, shorter waits are fine if the extraction site heals well, but everyone's different. I've seen plenty of cases where that shifting sensation settles down nicely after a few weeks. Hang in there...chances are you'll notice improvement soon enough.

I totally understand your hesitation—been there myself. When I had my implant done, my dentist also recommended a shorter wait, and honestly, I was pretty skeptical at first. Kept thinking maybe waiting longer would have been safer or something. But in the end, it healed up just fine. The weird shifting feeling you're describing—I had that too, and it gradually faded away after a few weeks.

Everyone heals differently though, so it's normal to second-guess these things. I remember obsessively googling recovery timelines and freaking myself out (probably not the best idea, lol). But seriously, give yourself some time. Your mouth is adjusting to something new, and it's bound to feel strange for a bit.

If you're really worried or if things don't start feeling better soonish, definitely check back with your dentist just for peace of mind. But from what I've experienced and heard from others who've gone through this, shorter waits usually turn out okay as long as the healing process is going smoothly.

Hang in there...it gets better faster than you'd think.

Yeah, totally get the anxiety—especially when you're spending good money on implants (my wallet still hurts 😅). Had mine done last year, and honestly, the weird sensations and mild paranoia lasted a solid month before I stopped noticing them. I'd say trust your dentist, but keep an eye on things. If something feels off longer than expected, don't be shy about bugging them...you're paying enough for the privilege, lol.
