I’m right there with you—if I don’t know what’s coming, my anxiety just ramps up. When I had a wisdom tooth out, I literally asked the oral surgeon to narrate the whole thing. It actually helped me stay grounded, even when the noises got weird. I’ve tried distraction too, but honestly, I just get more anxious if I feel like something’s being hidden from me. For me, clear info is way more calming than pretending it’s not happening. I know some folks want to zone out, but I’d rather brace myself for each step.
