Alternatives to Root Canals (Extraction, Implants)

So I had a tooth pulled a while back and finally decided to look into implants. Dentist said my gums and bone density looked pretty good, but mentioned some other stuff like smoking habits and overall health could affect things. Um, I don't smoke, but I do have diabetes (well-controlled tho). Just curious if anyone else had similar experiences or got turned down for implants cause of health reasons?

Had a patient a while back with diabetes (also well-managed) who got implants without any issues. Sounds like you're already doing great keeping things under control, so that's definitely in your favor. Good luck with everything!
