So my little one's been bottle feeding for about 6 months now, and recently I've noticed some brownish spots on his front teeth. I brush his teeth every night, but these stains just won't budge. A friend mentioned something called bottle decay, and I'm kinda freaking outβ€”never really heard of it before. Has anyone else dealt with this? Is it common or am I totally messing something up here?

Honestly, it might not be bottle decay at all. My daughter had similar spots when she was around the same age, and I panicked thinking it was cavities from nighttime bottles. Turned out, after a quick dentist visit, it was just iron staining from her formula. The dentist polished them off easily, and we switched formulasβ€”problem solved. Maybe check if your formula has extra iron or supplements before stressing too much about decay?
