Haha, toothbrush in the freezer...that's a new one! Kids really do come up with the funniest ways to dodge brushing. My son used to stash his behind the couch cushions—found three back there once, all crusty and dried out. Parenthood definitely keeps us creative, doesn't it?
Haha, behind the couch cushions sounds familiar...my daughter hides hers in her toy box. Honestly though, I'm a bit worried about cavities. Anyone tried making brushing more fun somehow? Or should I just check with the dentist again...?
When my kids were little, we turned brushing into a mini dance party—played their favorite song and brushed until it ended. Worked surprisingly well, even for my stubborn grandson who'd hide his toothbrush in the dog bed (true story...). Dentists are helpful, sure, but sometimes it's just about finding that fun routine at home. Maybe try a silly brushing song or let her pick out a special toothbrush? Might save you another dentist trip for now.
We tried the dancing thing too, worked wonders for a while. Eventually my daughter caught on and started negotiating shorter songs... toddlers are crafty negotiators, haha. Still, worth a shot if it keeps you out of the dentist chair a little longer.
Haha, toddlers definitely know how to bargain... crafty indeed. Honestly though, I'd suggest mixing things up—maybe try a fun toothbrush timer or a sticker chart? Little incentives can go a long way in keeping those tiny teeth healthy.
