I get that feeling, but I actually started to appreciate the little tweaks after a while. My ortho explained that sometimes the tiniest movements make the biggest difference, even if it feels slow. Looking back, I’m glad they didn’t rush it… though, yeah, popcorn is still my weakness.

Did you ever feel like maybe your ortho was being too careful, though? I keep wondering if all this waiting is really necessary or if they’re just playing it super safe. I’m starting to get impatient… Is there a point where you can actually ask them to speed things up, or is that a bad idea?

Honestly, I’ve had the same thoughts, especially when you’re paying out of pocket and every extra month adds up. But I did ask my ortho once about speeding things up, and he explained that going too fast could actually mess up your roots or make your teeth unstable long-term. Still, I get where you’re coming from—sometimes it feels like they’re dragging it out. I guess it’s a balance, but I do wish there was a way to know for sure if all the waiting is really needed.
