Finally fixed my wonky bite - anyone else had luck with elastics?

After months of rubber bands snapping in my mouth (ugh), my orthodontist finally said my bite's looking great. Honestly didn't think they'd work this well...anyone else have a similar experience or am I just lucky?

I remember when I had elastics years ago, and honestly, at first I was pretty skeptical they'd do much. My bite was pretty off-center, and the bands drove me nuts - especially when they'd snap while I was talking (embarrassing...). But after about four months, things really started shifting, and my orthodontist seemed genuinely impressed. So yeah, you're not alone in being surprised they worked. It's definitely a patience game though, glad it paid off for you too.
