Reading in bed with my head propped up on three pillows... yeah, that was my nightly routine for years, and it totally wrecked my neck and jaw. I used to think if I just wore the night guard, everything would magically stop hurting, but nope—like you said, it just shifted the problem. My physical therapist had me doing these weird chin tucks at first, which felt silly, but after a while I noticed my jaw didn’t ache as much. Sinus pressure is a whole other level—especially during allergy season, my entire face feels like it’s throbbing. It’s wild how all these little habits add up over time. Some days I just slap on a heat pack and try to forget about it.
