I recently had to go through the whole bone grafting thing for a dental implant. Honestly, the hardest part wasn't even the procedure itself (though that wasn't exactly a walk in the park either, lol), but figuring out who to trust with it. I spent hours reading reviews, comparing experiences, and still felt kinda lost. Eventually settled on someone recommended by my dentist and it turned out okay, but man...the stress of picking was rough. Curious if it's just me or did you guys find choosing your surgeon tricky too?

Yeah, totally get that—reviews can be super misleading sometimes. I ended up going with a surgeon my ortho recommended too, but honestly, even then I second-guessed myself. Did you meet multiple surgeons first, or just go with the recommendation?

I ended up meeting two different surgeons before settling on one. Honestly, it was a bit overwhelming—each had their own approach and opinions on bone grafting. The first guy was super confident but kinda rushed through my questions, while the second took his time explaining everything clearly. Went with the second one in the end... just felt more comfortable trusting someone who didn't mind slowing down to talk things through. Reviews definitely didn't tell the whole story.

Totally agree with you there... reviews can be helpful, but they're not always reliable. Still, I'd say don't discount a surgeon just because they're quick or seem rushed initially. My dentist recommended someone who was pretty brisk at first, but once I asked for a follow-up chat, he slowed down and explained everything thoroughly. Sometimes surgeons are just busy or have off days—doesn't necessarily mean they're less skilled or caring. Glad you found someone you're comfortable with though!

Picking the surgeon was definitely stressful for me too. Reviews helped somewhat, but talking directly with the doc made all the difference. I needed someone patient enough to handle my million questions...glad you found someone who worked out.
