I noticed oatmeal felt a bit scratchy for me at first—maybe it's those tiny bits getting into sensitive spots? Mashed potatoes were my go-to though, smooth and budget-friendly...never had an issue there. Guess everyone's healing differently.

Did you try blending the oatmeal finer or soaking it longer? Sometimes that helps with the scratchiness...but yeah, mashed potatoes are definitely a safe bet. Did smoothies work for you at all, or was the cold sensitivity an issue?

We found soaking oatmeal overnight helped a bit, but honestly, texture was still tricky. Smoothies were hit or miss—cold sensitivity kicked in big time, especially right after surgery. Room temp smoothies were weirdly better, though not exactly tasty... Hang in there, figuring out what works is half the battle. It does get easier once you find your go-to foods.

Totally relate on the smoothie thing—room temp smoothies are just...odd. Found lukewarm soups and mashed sweet potatoes easier. Texture-wise, scrambled eggs were my lifesaver. Hang tight, it does get better!

Haha, scrambled eggs are definitely underrated heroes. Another tip—avoid rice at all costs. Those sneaky grains love hiding in graft sites...trust me, fishing them out isn't fun. Hang in there, it really does improve.
