How long did you actually feel “normal” after a sinus lift?

I’m honestly getting a bit annoyed with this whole thing. They said I’d be back to usual in a week or two, but it’s been three weeks and I still feel kind of stuffed up and weird pressure near my cheek. Is this just me, or did anyone else have this drag on way longer than expected?

That cheek pressure you mentioned—totally get it. I had lingering congestion for almost a month after mine, and I remember thinking, “Is this just my new normal?” Did you have any swelling or bruising early on, or just the stuffed up feeling? Sometimes that can make a difference in how long it drags out.

That pressure near the cheek really stuck around for me too—honestly, it was probably close to five weeks before I felt totally back to normal. I didn’t have much swelling, just that weird “full” sensation and a bit of congestion that seemed to come and go. My dentist said some people just take longer to clear up, especially if you’re prone to sinus stuff anyway. It’s frustrating, but it did eventually fade for me. Hang in there, it’s pretty common from what I’ve heard.

I’m actually still feeling off and it’s been almost seven weeks for me. I keep worrying something’s wrong because the pressure just won’t let up. I know everyone heals differently, but I thought it’d be gone by now. Did anyone else have it drag on this long? Sometimes I freak myself out reading about complications...

That pressure feeling is the worst, especially when it just lingers. Here’s what I noticed from my own recovery:

- Took about 5 weeks before pressure eased up, but I still had random “fullness” on and off for a couple months.
- Blowing my nose made it worse for a while, so I avoided that as much as possible.
- My dentist said as long as there’s no major pain, swelling, or weird discharge, it’s probably just slow healing.

Honestly, reading about complications online didn’t help my anxiety either. Some days I felt almost normal, then the next day it’d flare up again. Not super reassuring, but you’re definitely not alone with this dragging out.
