Had a sinus lift last week and lemme tell ya, chewing was NOT gonna happen for a while. I've basically been living off smoothies, mashed potatoes, and soups. But the real game changer was this blended avocado-banana smoothie I randomly tried—it sounds weird, I know, but it's filling and actually tastes pretty good. Curious if anyone else found some surprisingly tasty stuff to eat during recovery?

That smoothie actually sounds pretty good... avocado makes everything creamy, right? I remember when I had my wisdom teeth out, chewing was a nightmare too. One thing that surprised me was blending sweet potatoes with a bit of cinnamon and coconut milk—it tasted like dessert but still felt healthy and comforting. Hang in there, recovery can be rough, but you're doing great finding tasty ways to get through it.

Avocado smoothies...never thought of that combo. I had my tonsils out last year and got desperate enough to blend oatmeal with peanut butter—sounds weird, but it was surprisingly comforting. Might have to try the sweet potato thing next time I'm stuck recovering. Hang in there!

Avocado smoothies are actually pretty decent—yeah, sounds weird at first, but trust me, after sinus surgery you'll blend just about anything. My first day post-op was basically: Step 1—stare sadly into fridge. Step 2—google "can I blend pizza." Step 3—settle for banana yogurt mush instead (not terrible, honestly). The oatmeal and PB combo sounds like a solid upgrade from my experiments...might steal that idea if I'm ever brave enough to face surgery round two.

"Step 2—google 'can I blend pizza.'"

Haha, this hit close to home...my daughter had sinus surgery last year and we went through a similar blender-experimentation phase. I was skeptical about avocado smoothies at first too, but honestly, they turned out to be a lifesaver. Creamy enough to feel substantial, but gentle enough for her sore throat. We also tried blending chicken noodle soup (minus the noodles)—questionable texture, but she said it tasted comforting. Can't say I'd recommend pizza in smoothie form though...some cravings are probably best left unmet, lol.

Hang in there! It sounds like you're already getting creative with your options, and that oatmeal and PB combo really does sound promising. Hope your recovery continues smoothly—you're doing great.
