That’s actually kind of reassuring to hear. I keep reading about people having weird sinus pressure for weeks, so I was dreading the whole thing. Did you do anything special to help it heal faster, or was it just luck?

Honestly, I mostly just stuck to the post-op instructions and crossed my fingers. I didn’t buy any fancy rinses or anything—just the basic saline spray from the drugstore. Did you notice if your insurance covered much of it? The out-of-pocket part had me way more stressed than the recovery, to be honest.

We were in the same boat—just kept things super simple and followed the instructions to the letter. The cost part was a headache, though. Our insurance barely covered a fraction, so we had to call around a bit and ask about payment plans before deciding. I think the stress over bills actually distracted my kid from worrying about the surgery itself... silver lining, maybe? If I could do it over, I’d ask about coverage way earlier in the process.

That insurance maze is no joke—honestly, I see folks get blindsided by the out-of-pocket numbers all the time. It’s wild how much of the stress ends up being about the bill, not the actual surgery. Payment plans help, but it’s never fun to have to chase down answers. If it’s any comfort, sinus lifts themselves are pretty routine these days and recovery’s usually smoother than people expect... but yeah, I wish insurance kept up with the times.
