Saw a story about sinus lifts getting more common—anyone else nervous?

That popping thing is so real—I thought my nose was going to shoot confetti the first time it happened. I got super nervous about sneezing too. Did you ever get weird headaches from it? I keep wondering if flying would just make everything feel like a balloon animal...

Haha, the confetti visual made me laugh—totally get what you mean about the popping. That sensation is weirdly unnerving at first, right? The sneezing paranoia is real too. I remember telling myself to sneeze with my mouth open for a while after my own sinus lift... felt like I was living in slow motion every time I felt one coming on.

Headaches can happen, but honestly, most folks I see don’t get anything too wild—usually just a little pressure or mild ache for a few days. It’s more the anticipation that gets people worked up. Flying is usually fine once you’re healed up, though I always tell people to give it a couple weeks just to be safe. You probably won’t turn into a balloon animal, but yeah, maybe skip skydiving for a bit.

The good news is, all those odd sensations settle down before you know it. And if anything feels off or you’re getting headaches that stick around, don’t be shy about checking in with your dentist or surgeon. Most of the time it’s just your body adjusting.
