I'm about two weeks out from my bone graft surgery and honestly, the pain is way worse than I expected. Doc said it'd be manageable with meds, but um...not really. Nights are the worst, can't get comfortable no matter what position I try. Starting to wonder if this is normal or if I'm just unlucky, you know? Curious if anyone else experienced something similar or has tips that actually help.

Totally get where you're coming from—bone graft recovery can be rougher than docs sometimes let on. I had mine about a year ago, and nights were definitely the hardest part for me too. What helped me was propping myself up with extra pillows to keep pressure off the area, and using ice packs religiously before bed (cheap DIY ones with frozen peas worked great). Hang in there, though...around week three things started easing up noticeably for me. You're not alone in this!

Yeah, nights are rough...I remember waking up constantly those first couple weeks. Did you find sleeping upright helped long-term, or was it just a temporary fix? I'm still experimenting with positions and pillows, hoping something clicks soon.

Sleeping upright was mostly temporary for me—got uncomfortable fast. Honestly, patience was key...it slowly improved week by week. Hang in there, you're doing better than you think.

Yeah, sleeping upright was rough for me too...felt like I barely got any rest those first few nights. But honestly, after about two weeks, things started easing up noticeably. You're definitely not alone—hang tight, it'll get better soon.
