Ice cream and milkshakes sound tasty, but I'd gently caution against jumping straight into sugary treats right after braces. Your teeth might still be sensitive...maybe celebrate with something savory first, like pasta or sushi, then indulge a bit later? Congrats either way.

Definitely seconding this advice. Sugary treats right after braces removal can be tempting, but your teeth might still feel a bit tender. A friend of mine went straight for caramel popcorn... let's just say it wasn't pretty. Pasta sounds safe and delicious right about now. Congrats on the brace-free life!

Pasta's definitely a safer bet, but honestly, sushi might not be as gentle as it sounds. My kiddo had braces off recently and went straight for sushi rolls—turns out the chewy seaweed wrap was surprisingly tricky to handle. Maybe opt for something softer like ramen or even mashed potatoes? Easier on tender teeth and still feels like a treat... just my two cents from recent experience. Congrats either way!

Pasta's usually a solid choice, but honestly, it depends on how sensitive your teeth feel right after braces. When mine came off, I thought pizza would be perfect—soft dough, melted cheese—but turns out the crust edges were tougher than expected. Ended up awkwardly nibbling around the edges like a squirrel, lol. Sushi surprised me too; rice was fine, but yeah, seaweed wraps and even some fish slices were trickier than I anticipated. Maybe something like mac and cheese or risotto could hit that sweet spot between comfort food and celebration? Or even pancakes if you're feeling breakfast-for-dinner vibes... Anyway, congrats on finally being brace-free—it's such a relief to eat without worrying about brackets and wires getting in the way.

Mac and cheese sounds like a winner—soft, cheesy, and comforting. I remember when mine came off, I went straight for ice cream. Cold stuff felt amazing on my teeth after all that tightening and soreness. But yeah, pizza crust was surprisingly tricky for me too... ended up just eating the toppings with a fork, haha. Did anyone else find crunchy foods weirdly intimidating at first? Took me weeks before I dared bite into an apple again.
