I've been dealing with dry mouth lately (thanks, allergy meds 🙄), and it makes my breath feel kinda stale, you know? Anyway, I've been experimenting with a few things to help keep my mouth feeling fresh and less desert-like, lol. Here's what I've been doing:

1. Drinking water constantly throughout the day—sounds obvious, but honestly, sipping regularly helps more than chugging a whole glass at once.
2. Chewing sugar-free gum. I found one with xylitol that's supposed to be good for your teeth too, so bonus points there.
3. Using a humidifier at night. This one surprised me, but it actually helps keep my mouth from drying out overnight.
4. Trying out these moisturizing mouth sprays from the pharmacy—they're okay-ish, but some taste weirdly medicinal.

Still feels like I'm missing something though...like none of these are perfect solutions. Anyone got better tips or tricks that work for them? Maybe some homemade remedy or something I haven't thought of yet?

Totally agree about the humidifier—I started using one last winter and was shocked at how much better my mouth felt in the mornings. One thing that's helped me a ton, though, is switching to alcohol-free mouthwash. Regular mouthwash always left me feeling even drier somehow, but the alcohol-free stuff seems gentler and more moisturizing. Might be worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet...

Glad someone else mentioned this—I thought I was imagining things! Alcohol-based mouthwash always made my mouth feel like sandpaper by morning. Never considered a humidifier though, that's an interesting idea. Did it take you long to notice the difference? I've been sipping water at night, but waking up constantly isn't exactly ideal...might have to give your method a try.

You're definitely not alone with the mouthwash thing—I had the same issue, felt like my tongue was glued to the roof of my mouth by morning. Switching to an alcohol-free brand helped a lot for me. Never thought about a humidifier either, but it sounds promising. Worth giving it a shot, especially if sipping water isn't cutting it for you...good luck!

Same here with the alcohol mouthwash—it made my son's dry mouth way worse, especially since he's already dealing with allergies and meds. We switched to a gentle, alcohol-free rinse and it helped somewhat. Also, our dentist recommended Biotene toothpaste; it's supposed to help with moisture. Can't say it's a miracle fix, but it seems to make mornings less uncomfortable for him. Might be worth trying if you haven't yet.
