Surprised by all the buzz over mouth sprays lately

I’ve had the same issue with sprays just disappearing, and honestly, sometimes the aftertaste is worse than just having dry mouth. I once tried a citrus one that was supposed to “refresh,” but it left my tongue feeling weirdly numb. I get what you mean about gum—chewing during a meeting is always awkward, and mints don’t last much longer for me.

Have you ever tried those mouth moisturizers that come as gels instead of sprays? I find they stick around a bit longer, though I’m not sure if it’s just me. Curious if anyone’s found something that actually works for more than a few minutes. Or maybe it’s just about finding the least annoying option...

Those gels are a bit of a game changer, honestly. I remember using one before a big presentation—I was so paranoid about dry mouth that I slathered it on like lip balm. It did last longer than any spray, but I’ll admit, the texture was a little odd at first. Still, I’d take a weird gel over that fake orange aftertaste any day. For me, it’s all about picking the lesser evil... dry mouth is just relentless sometimes.

That’s interesting—the texture thing seems to be a common complaint with gels, but I’ve noticed some people actually prefer it over the sprays because it feels like it “coats” better. Did you find it helped with your breath too, or was it just about moisture? Sometimes I wonder if folks are trading one problem for another with those citrusy sprays... Have you tried any of the lozenges, or do you stick to gels?

I totally get what you mean about the texture—gels can feel a bit weird at first, but I actually noticed my mouth felt less dry for longer compared to sprays. As for breath, honestly, it helped a little but not as much as the sprays with mint or citrus flavors. Those sprays sometimes leave an odd aftertaste though... which I’m not a huge fan of. I’ve tried a few lozenges too and they’re decent, but I always worry about the sugar content. It’s such a balancing act, right?

Totally relate to that—finding something that actually works without making things worse is tough. I get nervous about sugar too, especially after a few cavities snuck up on me from “harmless” mints. Sprays are hit or miss, though. Some of those mint ones almost sting my tongue and then leave it weirdly dry later... Gels last longer for me, but I’m always second-guessing if I used too much or not enough. You’re not alone in feeling like it’s never quite perfect.
