My 6-year-old just had another dentist visit and, yep, another cavity. I swear we brush twice a day, but it feels like we're always losing this battle. Tried a few different toothpastes already, even the ones with cartoon characters on them (which he loves, but his teeth apparently don't). Wondering if anyone else has dealt with this and found something that actually works better? I'm kinda desperate at this point...
I totally understand your frustration hereβI had similar issues with my daughter around that age. We tried all the fun toothpastes too, but cavities kept popping up. Eventually, our dentist explained it might be more about flossing and diet than toothpaste alone. Limiting sugary snacks and drinks definitely helped us. Also, we started using a fluoride rinse at bedtime (with supervision obviously), and it seemed to make a noticeable difference... might be worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet.
