Honestly, I’ve read a bunch about this, and there’s actually some debate. Water flossers aren’t magic, but they do a solid job blasting out food bits—sometimes better than string for people with braces or tight teeth. My kid hates string floss too, so we use both. Maybe it’s not perfect, but I’d rather have her actually do something daily than fight over string every night... At least it’s better than nothing?

We’re in the same boat—my daughter just can’t stand string floss, no matter how many flavors we try. Water flosser’s been a game changer for us, especially with her tight teeth. I figure if she’s actually cleaning between her teeth every day, even if it’s not “perfect,” that’s a win. Her dentist said it’s definitely better than skipping altogether. Sometimes you just gotta pick your battles...

I get the water flosser hype, but honestly, those things aren’t cheap. Have you tried those little floss picks? My kiddo hated regular floss too, but the picks were way less of a fight (and way cheaper). Curious if your dentist thinks they’re as good?

I’ve wondered the same thing about floss picks. My dentist told me they’re better than nothing, especially for kids (or, let’s be real, adults who just won’t floss otherwise). But apparently, they don’t always curve around the tooth as well, so you might miss some gunk. I still use them sometimes though, because regular floss makes my gums ache and my hands cramp up. For my daughter, it’s either picks or nothing, so I figure it’s a win. But yeah, water flossers are pricey, and honestly, I’m not convinced they’re magic.

I’ve been in the same boat—floss picks are way easier for me, especially when I’m half-asleep at night. The regular string kind just ends up hurting my hands, and honestly, I don’t have the patience for it. I actually caved and got a water flosser during a Black Friday sale, thinking it’d be a game-changer. It’s fun for about a week, then it lives under the sink. Anyone else find them more hype than help, or am I just lazy?
