Okay, so I've always been prone to cavities no matter how much I brushed. But recently switched to one of those electric toothbrushes with the timer thingy and angled brush heads. Honestly, my teeth feel way cleaner... anyone else notice a difference with these?

Yeah, I've noticed something similar since switching to electric. At first I thought it was just placebo or something, but after a few weeks, even my dentist commented that things looked better than usual (which was a relief, lol). Still not sure if it's the timer forcing me to brush longer or the brush head itself doing some magic... either way, I'm not complaining. Just hoping it keeps working because dental visits still make me nervous as heck.

I've been thinking about switching to electric too, but I'm always a bit skeptical about these things actually making a difference... hearing your dentist noticed improvement is reassuring though. Did you find it hard to get used to the buzzing sensation at first? My teeth are pretty sensitive, so I'm kinda nervous it might feel uncomfortable or weird. I guess anything that helps reduce dentist anxiety is worth a shot, right?

I totally get the hesitation about the buzzing feelingβ€”I was pretty anxious too at first. Did you ever try one of those sensitive brush heads? I switched to one right away and it helped ease me into it. Took a few days to get used to the sensation, but now I barely even notice it. Honestly, if your dentist anxiety is anything like mine, it's worth pushing through that initial weirdness... my checkups have been way less stressful since switching.

Yeah, the sensitive brush heads helped me too, but does anyone else find the timer a bit stressful? Like, sometimes I feel rushed trying to hit all the spots evenly...maybe it's just me overthinking it.
