Cheese is actually pretty tooth-friendly, but I wouldn’t say it’s a magic shield for enamel. It can help balance mouth acids a bit, but you still need to keep up with the basics like brushing and flossing. As for sensitivity, that’s super common with prescription pastes—sometimes it gets worse before it gets better. For me, it eased up after a few weeks, but I also avoided super cold stuff and switched to a softer toothbrush. Cravings after dental work? Happens to a lot of people, especially if you’re stuck on soft foods for a while... suddenly everything crunchy sounds amazing.

Man, I hear you on the soft foods struggle—after my fillings, all I wanted was chips and popcorn. Cheese is great, but it’s not exactly a superhero for teeth. Switching to a super soft brush helped my sensitivity, too. Takes time, but it does get easier.

I totally get the craving for crunchy stuff after dental work—chips were all I could think about, too. It’s tough on the wallet when you’re buying special foods and extra dental products, but I found a few things that helped. Step one: stock up on things like yogurt and bananas, usually cheap and gentle on your teeth. Step two: don’t overdo the cheese, like you said—it’s tasty, but not magic. And honestly, using a super soft brush made a bigger difference than I expected. Hang in there, it really does get easier, even if it’s slow going at first.

That was a game changer for me, too. I didn’t believe it at first—figured a regular brush was fine if I went easy—but the soft ones actually made my gums less sore after all the fillings. I’d add: oatmeal is super cheap and you can make it sweet or savory, plus it’s easy to eat when chewing is rough. I do think cheese helps a little with feeling full, but yeah, it’s not a miracle food. The food budget definitely took a hit for a while, but I found frozen veggies (steamed and mashed) were gentle and way cheaper than the “special” dental aisle stuff.

Totally agree on the oatmeal. After my second round of fillings, I basically lived on oatmeal and scrambled eggs for a week. I tried those “dental aisle” shakes but honestly, they tasted weird and cost way more than they should. Frozen veggies mashed up were a lifesaver too—never thought I’d be grateful for mushy peas, but here we are. The soft brush thing surprised me at first... but yeah, my gums were way happier.
