Totally relate to the jaw workout feeling—mine was sore for a couple days after each one, like I’d been chewing gum for hours. The anticipation is honestly the worst part; once you’re in the chair and that numbing kicks in, it’s just a lot of weird noises and not much pain. I do think getting them done in fewer sittings is easier on your nerves, even if it’s a lot at once. Eating was a hassle, but I found smoothies and scrambled eggs worked too. You’ll get through it, even if it feels overwhelming now.

I can totally relate to the anticipation part—that's honestly where most of my anxiety came from too. I haven’t had six at once, but I did have three root canals done over two appointments last year. The jaw fatigue is real. I remember feeling like I’d done some kind of weird dental marathon after the first session. I actually found that keeping my mouth open for so long was more uncomfortable than the actual procedure itself, especially since the anesthetic worked really well for me. The weird noises and pressure were kind of unsettling, but not painful.

I was a bit skeptical about getting multiple teeth treated in one go, but in hindsight, consolidating appointments made it easier to manage work and recovery. The recovery period wasn’t as bad as I’d expected—mostly just a dull ache and some swelling for a couple days. I stuck to soft foods too, but I got a bit bored with smoothies after a while and ended up mashing up potatoes and eating a lot of yogurt. Chewing on the opposite side helped a ton.

One thing I didn’t expect was how tired I felt afterwards, probably from all the tension. If you can, plan to rest after each session and don’t try to push through a busy day. I know it sounds daunting, but once you’re actually in the chair, it’s way less dramatic than what your brain imagines ahead of time. The anticipation really is worse than the process itself.

It’s definitely overwhelming looking at the number six, but breaking it down into steps helped me mentally. And if you’re worried about post-procedure pain, I found that over-the-counter meds kept things manageable. Everyone’s different, but for me, the buildup was way scarier than the reality. You’ll get through it, even if it feels like a lot right now.

Totally get what you mean about the jaw fatigue—that part surprised me too. I was way more anxious before my root canals than during. The anticipation just messes with your head, but honestly, it’s manageable once you’re there. Resting after really does help.

The jaw fatigue is real—people don’t expect that to be the toughest part, but it can be. I see a lot of folks come in super anxious, and honestly, the lead-up is usually worse than the actual procedure. Once you’re in the chair, things tend to settle down. Most are surprised by how manageable it feels compared to what they imagined.

Taking breaks if you need them and resting up after makes a big difference. I’ve seen patients bounce back quicker when they don’t push themselves too hard right after. Six root canals sounds daunting, but you’ll probably find it’s not as overwhelming as it seems on paper. Just remember to give yourself some grace with recovery—your body (and jaw!) will thank you for it.

Six at once is a lot to wrap your head around, I get it. But honestly, most people are way more nervous beforehand than they need to be. The worst part for me was just keeping my mouth open so long—felt like I did a marathon with my jaw. If you can, ask for little breaks... it helps. And yeah, take it easy after. Don’t rush back into anything heavy. You’ll probably be surprised how much better you feel once it’s done and behind you.
