My 5-year-old fell off her scooter yesterday and chipped her front tooth pretty badly. Dentist said it'll heal fine but it'll take a while. Anyone else's kid had something similar happen? How long did it take to look normal again?

Dentist explained it depends on how deep the chip goes—if it exposes more sensitive layers, you'll feel it more. Maybe your daughter's chip was just a tad deeper or closer to nerves? Either way, glad it eased up eventually...kids bounce back faster than we think sometimes.
