My 5-year-old had a bit of a playground mishap yesterday and chipped his front tooth pretty badly. He's not in pain right now, but I'm kinda worried it might get worse or something. Never had to deal with this before, so I'm not sure if I should rush him to a dentist ASAP or wait and see how it goes. Anyone been through something similar or have tips on what to do next?

I'd definitely get it checked out sooner rather than later. Even if he's not hurting now, sometimes the nerve can be affected without immediate pain. My niece chipped hers last summerβ€”seemed fine at first, but a few weeks later it started turning grayish because the nerve had died. Better safe than sorry, especially with front teeth since they're so visible. Did you notice any sensitivity when he eats or drinks cold stuff? That's usually a sign to watch for.
