When I first got dentures, I noticed my speech was kinda off, especially with "s" and "f" sounds. Felt like I had to relearn talking a bit, you know? One thing that helped me was reading out loud every day for about 10 mins. Sounds silly, but it really made a difference. Now I'm considering implants, heard they might be easier speech-wise. Anyone here switched from dentures to implants and noticed a difference in how you talk?

My daughter went through something similar after getting implants. She initially had dentures after an accident, and like you said:

"Felt like I had to relearn talking a bit, you know?"

Exactly her experience too. She struggled with certain sounds, especially "th" and "s." After switching to implants, though, she found speech a lot more natural—less slipping around, fewer adjustments needed. Still took some practice, but overall, implants seemed to give her more stability and confidence when speaking. Hope this helps a bit...
