I'm at that point where my dentist is suggesting I consider implants instead of dentures. Honestly, dentures seem simpler (and cheaper, lol), but I've heard implants feel way more natural and boost your confidence a lot. My aunt got implants last year and swears it's the best thing she ever did, but I'm still kinda hesitant. Has anyone else faced this decision and how'd you end up feeling about it?
I was in your shoes about two years agoβdentist pushing implants, me leaning toward dentures because of cost and simplicity. Honestly, the idea of surgery freaked me out a bit...still does. Ended up going with dentures, and while they're okay, I do sometimes wonder if implants would've felt more natural. Eating certain foods can be tricky, and I'm always a little anxious they'll slip in public. Anyone else feel this way after choosing dentures?
I totally get where you're coming from. My mom went with dentures about a year ago, mostly because implants seemed like a huge hassle and she wasn't keen on surgery either. She manages okay, but yeah, she mentions the slipping thing tooβespecially when we're out eating somewhere new. Did you find any tricks or products that help keep them more secure? She's tried a couple adhesives, but nothing's been perfect yet...
