The water flosser feels easier—kind of satisfying, too—but I’m never sure if it’s getting everything.

Same here. I switched to a water flosser because the little brushes just felt tedious after a while... but I do wonder if it's as thorough. My dentist said as long as my gums aren't inflamed, it's probably working, but I still get paranoid and alternate between both some weeks. Consistency is definitely my weak spot, especially when I'm tired.

I get nervous about this too, honestly. I bought a water flosser because the brushes were getting expensive and I was always running out at the worst times. But I keep worrying it’s not enough on its own. My hygienist said water flossers are “better than nothing,” which didn’t exactly boost my confidence... Do you ever get that feeling like you’re missing something, even if your gums look okay?

I try to stick with the water flosser most nights because it’s quick, but then I’ll go back to the little brushes if I start overthinking it. It’s tough to stay consistent when you’re tired or just trying to save money on supplies. I wish there was a cheaper way to know for sure if everything’s clean—like, is there a test you can do at home? Or do you just trust your dentist’s word? I always worry they’ll say it looks fine, but I’ll end up with issues down the line and have to pay for repairs. The anxiety is real.

I totally get the paranoia. I once tried to “test” my cleaning by chewing on those red disclosing tablets... ended up looking like a vampire and still had no clue if my implants were actually clean. I just bounce between water flosser and brushes too. Sometimes I think the only real test is whether my dentist gives me that disappointed sigh or not.
