I gave reusable handles a shot as well, mostly for environmental reasons. My experience was similar—after a few weeks, the brush head started to feel loose, and I found myself constantly tightening it mid-brush, which wasn't ideal. Bulk buying TePes online has been my go-to since then, and it's worked out pretty economically. Still, I sometimes feel guilty about the plastic waste...wish there was a sturdier eco-friendly alternative out there.

Have you tried bamboo interdental brushes yet? I've seen them pop up recently—wonder if they're actually sturdy enough or if they'd just end up loose too... Curious if anyone's given them a real test run.

I've tried bamboo interdental brushes a couple of times... they're definitely eco-friendly, but I'm not entirely convinced about their sturdiness. The bristles felt softer than my usual ones, and the bamboo handle got a bit flimsy after a few uses. Maybe it depends on the brand though—I only tested one type so far. I'd recommend getting a small pack first to see how they hold up before fully committing.

Yeah, I've noticed that too—some bamboo brushes can be hit or miss. Did you find the bristles bending easily or just feeling softer overall? I'm always a bit cautious recommending them to implant patients because sturdiness is key for proper cleaning. Maybe it's worth trying another brand before giving up completely... but honestly, I still stick mostly to traditional interdental brushes myself. Better safe than sorry with implants, right?

Yeah, I've had similar experiences with bamboo brushes—mine felt soft too, and the handle got soggy pretty quickly. Switched back to regular interdental brushes, and honestly, they've been easier to manage... especially since I'm still nervous about keeping my implants clean and healthy.
