would you go through with dental implants if bone grafting was involved?

The procedure itself was straightforward, and discomfort afterward was manageable with prescribed medication. Personally, the long-term benefits outweighed the temporary inconvenience and anxiety.

Glad to hear your experience wasn't too rough. I'm scheduled for bone grafting next month and can't help feeling anxious about it... Does the discomfort really ease up quickly with meds? Trying to convince myself it's worth it long-term.

I totally get the anxiety—been there myself. Had bone grafting done about a year ago, and honestly, the anticipation was way worse than the actual procedure. The meds they gave me were pretty effective; I felt sore for a couple of days, but nothing unbearable. Just make sure you follow their instructions closely and don't skip doses thinking you're fine (learned that one the hard way, lol).

Couldn't agree more with this. I'm budget-conscious too, so trust me when I say I debated this decision endlessly. But looking back now, it was definitely worth every penny and every anxious moment. Eating comfortably again without worrying about gaps or dentures slipping around is such a relief. Hang in there—you'll be glad you went through with it once it's behind you.

I totally see where you're coming from, and it's great to hear it worked out well for you. But honestly, I'm still on the fence about implants with bone grafting. My dentist mentioned that sometimes grafts don't take properly, meaning extra procedures and costs down the line. I'm leaning towards getting a second opinion first—just to be sure. Glad yours went smoothly though... gives me some hope!
