Been thinking about getting my front teeth fixed up and I'm stuck between composite bonding and veneers. Heard bonding is cheaper but might chip easier, veneers pricier but tougher...anyone have experience with either? Curious which holds up better long-term.
Went through a similar decision a few years back and ended up going with veneers. Had bonding first actually, and yeah, it is definitely cheaper upfront, but I found myself back at the dentist pretty often for touch-ups. I chipped mine twice within the first couple of years just from biting into something hard like crusty bread... nothing crazy, but still annoying.
Eventually, I switched to veneers, and honestly they've been way more durable. Haven't had a single issue in almost 5 years now. They're pricier for sure, but if you're looking at long-term durability, veneers have been worth the extra investment (at least in my experience).
But everyone's teeth and habits are different, so what worked for me might not be the same for you. Either way, fixing your teeth makes such a difference in your confidenceβI say go for it, whichever route you pick.
