Haha, been there with the awkward toothpick rescue mission... not fun. I used to snap those little floss picks all the time too, but recently switched to these sturdier ones with a thicker handleβ€”total game changer. Still easy on the fingers, but way less bendy.

Also, if you're still having trouble, maybe try angling them slightly instead of straight-on? Sounds weird, but it helps me avoid snapping them mid-floss. Either way, beats traditional floss hands-downβ€”no more strangling my fingertips or cutting off circulation, lol.

Mouthwash-wise, I've started rinsing after flossing instead of before. Dentist recommended it last visit and honestly my mouth feels fresher longer. Worth a shot if you haven't tried it yet.

Interesting, I always thought mouthwash was supposed to loosen stuff first? I've been flossing after rinsing forever... maybe that's why my dentist visits stress me out. Might switch it up tonight and see what happens...

Hmm, I always floss first then rinse, figured it helps wash away whatever flossing loosened up. But now I'm wonderingβ€”does mouthwash actually loosen stuff beforehand, or is it mostly about bacteria and freshening breath after cleaning?

I've wondered about this too... From what my dentist told me, mouthwash doesn't really loosen stuff up beforehandβ€”it's mostly antibacterial and for freshening breath. Flossing first makes sense because you're physically removing debris stuck between teeth, then rinsing afterward helps clear out whatever you've loosened. But honestly, I've tried both ways and haven't noticed a huge difference. Maybe it's just personal preference or habit at this point? Curious if anyone's dentist has said something different.

Yeah, I think you're onto something there. My dentist actually recommended flossing first too, but honestly, I've switched it up a few times and never noticed much difference either. Probably just whatever feels right to you...
