Yeah, totally agree—technique matters way more than order. I tried flossing first too, but honestly didn't notice much difference. Still nervous every checkup though... always worried they'll find something I missed.

I totally get that nervousness before appointments... same here. But I don't know, for me personally, flossing first actually made a noticeable difference. My dentist mentioned it might help loosen stuff up so brushing can sweep it away easier. Maybe it's just psychological, but my gums seemed less irritated after switching the order. Still, technique definitely matters most—no arguing there. Guess everyone's mouth is a bit different, huh? Either way, dental anxiety is real... hang in there!

Yeah, I heard something similar from mine too. She explained it like sweeping a floor—you wanna remove the big stuff first before mopping. Honestly, switching to flossing first made my teeth feel smoother afterward. But I agree, everyone's mouth reacts differently. Dental anxiety is tough... I usually distract myself with music or podcasts during appointments, helps take the edge off a bit. Hang in there, you've got this.

My dentist actually recommended something similar, but she added mouthwash into the mix. Her reasoning was floss first to loosen debris between teeth, then rinse with mouthwash to flush out the loosened particles, and finally brush to clean and polish everything up. I tried it out, and honestly, my mouth feels way fresher afterward. But yeah, everyone's different...might be worth experimenting a bit to see what feels best for you.

Interesting...my dentist actually suggested brushing first, then flossing, and finishing with mouthwash. I tried your dentist's method last night though, and honestly, it did feel fresher afterward. Maybe it's psychological? I'm still pretty anxious about dental visits (had my first filling recently—yikes), so anything that helps me feel more confident is a win. Has anyone noticed if changing the order affects gum sensitivity at all?
