Sometimes when I'm feeling super anxious or stressed, I catch myself going on these intense cleaning binges...like scrubbing tiles at 2am kinda thing. Anyone else find themselves stress-cleaning like that, or am I just weirdly wired?
You're definitely not alone—I remember one night when my kiddo was sick, and I was so stressed out waiting for the fever to break that I ended up reorganizing the entire pantry at 3am. Found spices I didn't even know existed back there... Stress-cleaning can be oddly therapeutic, I think. At least it's productive, right? Better than stress-eating an entire sleeve of cookies (been there too, haha).
I totally get the pantry thing—I tend to dive into laundry when I'm stressed. Folding clothes step-by-step, sorting piles... it gives my mind something structured to focus on rather than spiraling into anxiety. Weirdly enough, I once ended up ironing bedsheets at midnight when my little one had a stomach bug. Not sure I'd recommend that exactly, but hey, whatever helps us cope in those tough moments, right?
