How long did your bridge replacement actually take?

That’s actually really reassuring to hear. I’m kind of freaking out about the insurance part, honestly. Did they give you a printout or something after the call, or was it just a “we think it’ll be covered” situation? I feel like I’d need it in writing or I’d just keep worrying. Also, did you end up with any surprise bills anyway? I keep hearing horror stories about hidden costs and now I’m paranoid…

I totally get the paranoia about surprise bills—dental stuff is notorious for that. When I did my bridge, they actually gave me a pre-treatment estimate in writing after checking with my insurance, but it still had that “subject to final approval” fine print. I didn’t get any huge surprises, but there was a small lab fee that wasn’t covered. Did your dentist’s office walk you through the codes and what each part might cost? Sometimes just seeing the breakdown helps calm the nerves, at least for me. How long did your actual appointments take? Mine were spaced out over three weeks, which felt like forever...

Three weeks? That actually sounds about right—mine took almost a month, but I had a reschedule in the middle. The codes thing—yeah, they showed me a spreadsheet, but honestly, it was like reading The Matrix. I still had no clue what half of it meant. Did you get numb for every visit, or just the first one? I swear my jaw was sore for days after the first round.

Yeah, I got numbed up every single time—no mercy from my dentist. By the third visit, I felt like a human pincushion. The jaw soreness is real... I remember leaving the office barely able to mumble “thank you.” That spreadsheet with all the codes? Might as well have been ancient hieroglyphics. Honestly, I just nodded and hoped insurance would sort it out. Three weeks isn’t bad, though—my cousin’s took nearly two months because they messed up the mold.

Dude, the insurance codes are wild—I swear they make them confusing on purpose. Did you have to go back for extra adjustments, or was it just the mold issue? My dentist kept tweaking the fit, which dragged things out for me.
