Switching to floss picks totally changed my nightly routine

“They don’t seem to dig in as much, and I don’t end up with those random sore spots the next morning.”

Same here—string floss always left my gums feeling raw, especially if I was tired and just wanted to get it over with. Picks are way less hassle. I do wonder if they’re as thorough, but like your dentist said, consistency matters more than being perfect. Honestly, anything that makes me actually stick with it is a win... and my wallet appreciates not needing extra dental work down the line.

It’s such a relief not to dread flossing anymore. I used to get those sore spots too, and then I’d start skipping nights just to avoid it... which kind of defeats the whole purpose, right? With picks, I’m way more likely to stick with it, even if I’m half asleep and just want to crawl into bed.

I do worry sometimes that maybe the picks aren’t getting every little bit, especially between my crowded teeth. My dentist said as long as I’m actually doing it and not shredding my gums, it’s better than nothing. Still, I get a little anxious before every cleaning thinking they’ll find something I missed. So far, so good (fingers crossed).

Honestly, anything that makes the nightly routine less of a hassle is worth it in my book. Dental bills are terrifying—I’d rather buy a pack of floss picks than pay for another filling any day.

Preach. My wallet still has PTSD from my last crown. I totally get the worry about missing spots, especially with crowded teeth—sometimes it feels like you need a tiny ninja to get in there. But honestly, if picks are making you actually stick to flossing, that’s a win. I’ll take “pretty good” every night over “perfect” once a month, any day.

I hear you on the dental bills—my last bridge nearly made me faint, and that was with insurance. I’ve got arthritis in my hands, so those little floss picks are a lifesaver for me. Sure, maybe they don’t get every last bit, but using them daily beats skipping altogether. My dentist said as long as I’m getting in there, it’s way better than nothing.

Dental bills are no joke—my wallet still cries when I think about my last crown. I totally get the struggle with flossing too. My hands aren’t what they used to be, so those regular strings just end up tangled or snapped. Floss picks are basically my MVP now. I know some folks say they don’t clean as well, but honestly, if I tried to use regular floss every night, I’d probably just give up and risk another “surprise” from the dentist. At least with picks, I’m actually doing something!
