"Avocado soups sound intriguing though; might give that a shot next time around..."

Avocado soup, huh? Never thought of that one... sounds kinda fancy for post-dental work, lol. But yeah, lukewarm foods are usually the way to go—cold stuff can definitely trigger sensitivity for some folks. Sweet potatoes and oatmeal are solid recs too. Curious if anyone's tried scrambled eggs or mashed bananas? Those were my go-to comfort foods after wisdom teeth removal, and they didn't irritate at all.

Scrambled eggs worked pretty well for me too, actually. I found the trick was to cook them really soft and fluffy—almost underdone—so they required minimal chewing. Mashed bananas were okay, but I personally found them a bit too sweet after a while. Another thing that helped me was blending soups or stews until they were super smooth...not fancy avocado-level, lol, but still tasty and filling enough to get by.

Funny you mention bananas—I actually found them perfect when mixed into plain Greek yogurt. The tanginess balanced out that sweetness nicely. Scrambled eggs, though...even fluffy ones felt gritty to me somehow. Maybe just personal preference?

I totally get what you mean about scrambled eggs feeling gritty. Weird texture, right? For me, oatmeal was the winner—especially if I let it cool down a bit first. Warm but not hot, and just enough cinnamon to distract from the construction chaos happening in my mouth. Bananas were okay-ish, but yeah,

"a bit too sweet after a while."
I ended up blending mine into smoothies with some spinach or peanut butter to tone down the sweetness. Worked like a charm...and bonus points for nutrition.

Smoothies were a lifesaver for me too—spinach and peanut butter combo sounds great, I'll have to try that. I found mashed sweet potatoes pretty comforting as well, especially when lukewarm. Not overly sweet, easy on the budget, and filling enough to keep hunger at bay. Hang in there, it gets easier once you find your rhythm with foods that work for you...
