Smoothies and yogurt are definitely solid choices, but have you tried scrambled eggs yet? I know it sounds kinda weird, but hear me out. When I had my wisdom teeth out (felt like a jackhammer had been in there, honestly), scrambled eggs were my secret weapon. They're soft, easy to swallow, and give you some protein to keep your energy up. Just make sure they're not too hot—lukewarm is the sweet spot.

Also, totally agree about berries being sneaky irritants. Seeds are tiny devils when you're healing. Another thing to watch out for is rice or quinoa—those little grains love to hide in extraction sites and cause trouble later. Learned that one the hard way...

Have you tried soups yet? Not piping hot obviously, but something like lukewarm creamy potato soup or even blended veggie soups can be comforting and filling without causing irritation. Just avoid anything acidic or spicy for now—trust me, tomato soup might seem innocent, but it's secretly plotting against your gums.

And speaking of comfort foods... mashed sweet potatoes with a bit of butter or coconut oil can be surprisingly soothing. Plus, they're packed with nutrients that'll help speed up healing.

Hang in there—it gets better pretty quickly after the first few days. Before you know it, you'll be back to crunching chips and popcorn again (but maybe hold off on those for a bit longer).

Scrambled eggs were my go-to as well when I had my wisdom teeth out. I remember thinking they'd be weird, but honestly, they saved me from living off smoothies alone. Good call on the mashed sweet potatoes too—wish I'd thought of that at the time. And yeah, tomato soup betrayed me big-time... lesson learned there. Hang tight, you're doing great and it'll all be a distant memory soon enough.

Scrambled eggs worked surprisingly well for my daughter too after her dental surgery. I initially worried they'd be too bland or unappealing, but she actually preferred them over smoothies after the first day. Tomato soup was a no-go for us as well—too acidic and uncomfortable. One thing that helped was lukewarm oatmeal with a bit of honey... gentle enough not to irritate, but filling enough to keep hunger at bay. It's interesting how everyone's comfort foods differ slightly during recovery, isn't it?

Yeah, tomato-based stuff can definitely sting a bit after dental surgery. Good call on the oatmeal, though—it's gentle and nutritious. Recovery foods really do vary a lot from person to person... I've seen patients swear by mashed potatoes or even cooled-down mac and cheese. Glad you found something that worked comfortably for your daughter. Sounds like you're doing great managing her recovery.

I feel you on the tomato thing—after my wisdom teeth came out, even ketchup was a no-go for a week. Weirdly enough, scrambled eggs saved me...soft, filling, and zero sting. Glad oatmeal did the trick for her!
