Scrambled eggs are a good shout, definitely saved me too. Though oatmeal was never my thing—even thinned out, it just felt...off. Weirdly enough, mashed potatoes became my go-to. Easy to swallow and you can mix in different stuff like cheese or gravy to change it up. Did anyone else find temperature mattered a lot too? Lukewarm foods felt easier for me than anything too hot or cold. Curious if that was just me being picky or something common.

Totally get the lukewarm thing—you're not being picky, it's actually pretty common. When your mouth is sore or sensitive, extreme temps can feel like torture (think ice cream brain freeze but in your gums...ouch). Personally, room-temp soups and smoothies were my lifesavers. Sounds weird, I know, but a smoothie that's sat out a bit is way easier to handle than an icy-cold one straight from the blender. Give it a shot next time—your mouth will thank you.

Room-temp smoothies are a solid tip, actually. Another thing I've found helpful is steering clear of acidic stuff—like citrus fruits or tomato-based soups—since they can really sting when your mouth's already irritated. Instead, try blending bananas, avocado, or even oatmeal into smoothies for something soothing and gentle. Sounds odd, but trust me, oatmeal smoothies saved me after my wisdom teeth came out...and bonus points for being filling enough to keep hunger at bay without chewing.
