"Warm water and soap is definitely easier on the wallet."

Yeah, that's been my go-to as well. I've noticed cheaper brands tend to warp faster, though. Anyone tried boiling theirs to reshape it, or does that just ruin it completely...? Curious if that's a viable option.

Haha, I actually tried boiling mine onceβ€”keyword being "once." It was one of those late-night ideas that seemed brilliant at the time. Spoiler alert: it didn't end well. The poor thing ended up looking like a melted gummy bear, and my kid thought it was hilarious. 😂 But who knows, maybe I just overdid it?

On a more serious note, I've noticed ours last about six months to a year before they start looking pretty rough. My kiddo tends to chew on theirs a bit, so we go through them faster than I'd like. Does anyone else's kid chew theirs up, or is mine just extra dedicated to destruction...?

Haha, your melted gummy bear story made me laugh... we've all had those late-night "genius" moments. Honestly, chewing's pretty commonβ€”kids just seem to love destroying mouthguards. You're doing great replacing them regularly though, that's key for keeping teeth safe.

Haha, seriously, kids and mouthguards are like cats and cardboard boxes... destruction guaranteed. My nephew once chewed through his brand-new guard in a single weekend. We joked he must've mistaken it for bubblegum or something. You're definitely on the right track replacing them regularly though; better safe than sorry when it comes to teeth. Keep up the good workβ€”sounds like you're handling it perfectly.

Haha, totally agree with this:

"kids and mouthguards are like cats and cardboard boxes... destruction guaranteed."

My daughter went through hers so fast we started buying them in bulk. Eventually, our dentist suggested trying a custom-fitted oneβ€”bit pricier upfront but honestly lasted way longer. She still chewed it up eventually, but it held up better than the cheap ones. Might be worth looking into if you're tired of replacing them every other week...
