Mine usually lasts around a year or so, but it definitely depends on how stressed I am. When work gets crazy, I grind way harder and it wears out faster. I agree about the cleaning partβ€”keeping it dry and clean helps a ton with durability. Have you tried soaking it occasionally in denture cleaner tablets? Sounds weird, but my dentist recommended it, and it actually helps keep it fresh and clear-looking longer.

That's interesting about the denture tabletsβ€”I never would've thought of that. Does it leave any weird taste afterward, or is it pretty neutral? Mine usually lasts around 8-10 months, but honestly, I've never been great about keeping it dry, so maybe that's part of the issue. Work stress definitely speeds up the wear on mine too, so I feel you there. Might have to give your dentist's trick a try and see if it helps stretch things out a bit longer.

Yeah, stress grinding is no joke...been there myself. The denture tablets trick is pretty neutral taste-wise, at least for me. Keeping it dry does help, but honestly, 8-10 months isn't bad at all considering daily use. Hang in there!

Totally agreeβ€”stress grinding can really chew through a guard faster than you'd think. Ever tried switching up the material? Some patients find thicker or dual-layer guards hold up a bit better under heavy pressure. Worth considering maybe.
