I've been grinding my teeth at night for years, and my dentist finally convinced me to get a night guard. Problem is, the one I got feels like I'm sleeping with a hockey puck in my mouth, lol. It's bulky, uncomfortable, and I end up waking up multiple times a night. Anyone found a night guard that's actually comfortable enough to sleep through the night without feeling like you're chewing on plastic? I'm open to suggestions, cause this thing is driving me crazy...

Ugh, I totally feel your pain on this one. I've been through a couple of night guards myself, and honestly, the first one I got from my dentist felt like trying to sleep with a mouthful of Legosβ€”bulky, awkward, and just plain uncomfortable. I was waking up constantly and ended up ditching it after a week or two.

Eventually, I tried one of those thinner custom-fit ones that you mold yourself at home (got mine online). It was way less bulky and actually stayed in place without feeling like I had a chunk of plastic wedged in there. Took me a few nights to get used to it, but now I barely notice it's there. Just make sure you follow the instructions carefully when molding itβ€”my anxiety kicked in big-time worrying I'd mess it up, lol.

Anyway, hang in there...it might take some trial and error, but you'll find something that works. Teeth grinding is no joke, so it's worth the hassle to find something comfy enough to actually sleep with. Good luck!
