Had a root canal last year and thought it was the worst until I had to get a tooth pulled yesterday...um, ouch. Curious which one you guys found more miserable and why?

Honestly, extraction was way worse for me too. Root canal was uncomfortable and took forever, but at least afterward the pain was manageable with ibuprofen. When I had my tooth pulled, the recovery felt endless—couldn't eat properly for days, and the swelling was no joke. Did your dentist suggest an implant or bridge afterward? I'm still debating which route to go...

I'm glad I'm not alone in finding extraction tougher. Had mine out last year, and honestly, the anxiety beforehand was almost worse than the procedure itself. But afterward—ugh, the swelling was brutal and I felt like it took forever to heal enough to chew normally again. My dentist mentioned implants, but the idea of surgery and more recovery time makes me pretty nervous. Bridges sound less invasive, though I've heard they can affect neighboring teeth over time. Did your dentist say anything about long-term complications with either option? I'm still kind of stuck weighing pros and cons here...
