Scrambled eggs were a lifesaver for me too—oatmeal and yogurt got boring fast. I actually found that keeping a cold pack handy did more for my nerves than the meds after the first day. Did anyone else have trouble sleeping that first night? I kept waking up worried I was bleeding or something.

Yeah, that first night was rough for me too. I kept waking up every hour, half convinced something was going wrong. The cold pack definitely helped more than the painkillers after a while—plus it gave me something to focus on besides freaking out about bleeding. Those soft foods got old fast though... mashed potatoes were my go-to after eggs.

That’s exactly how it went for me, too. I remember being surprised by how much the ice helped, especially when the meds wore off. It was like a little routine—20 minutes on, 20 minutes off, kept my mind busy and swelling down. For food, I got so tired of pudding and applesauce that I started blending soups just for a change. If you can handle it, a bit of room-temp oatmeal with extra milk wasn’t too bad either. It does get easier each day, promise.
