I get what you're saying about gums having their own moods—mine definitely throw tantrums sometimes, lol. But honestly, I never really warmed up to interdental brushes. Tried them a few times, but they always felt kinda awkward and scratchy, even after giving my gums time to adjust. Floss picks ended up being my jam instead—way easier for me to handle, and my gums seem happier too. Guess everyone's mouth has its own preferences...or maybe I'm just floss-biased?

Interesting you mention floss picks—I tried them for a while, but I always felt like they didn't quite reach everywhere properly. Maybe it's just me overthinking it? Recently, my dentist suggested giving interdental brushes another shot, but honestly, I'm still skeptical. Did you notice any difference in gum sensitivity when switching methods? Curious if maybe I just haven't found the right technique yet...

I've had mixed experiences with floss picks myself. While they're definitely convenient (especially when traveling or in a hurry), I always felt like they didn't quite clean as thoroughly as traditional floss. My dentist explained that floss picks might not curve around the tooth as effectively, so maybe that's why you're feeling they're missing spots? I switched to interdental brushes about six months ago, and at first, it felt pretty awkward—I wasn't convinced they'd do the job—but after a few weeks, my gums were noticeably less sensitive and didn't bleed as much. I think technique matters a lot here; it took me some trial and error to get comfortable using them properly. Also, finding the right size brush was key for me...too big or small, and it just didn't feel effective. Maybe give it another shot with different sizes before ruling them out completely?

I've seen a lot of patients struggle with floss picks too—convenient, sure, but they just don't hug the tooth surface as effectively. Personally, I switched to interdental brushes a couple years back and noticed a huge improvement in gum health. It definitely took some experimenting to find the right size and angle, but once I did, my gums stopped bleeding completely. Technique really is key here...might be worth another try if you're noticing sensitivity or bleeding lately.

Totally agree, floss picks never felt thorough enough for me either. I switched to interdental brushes recently too, but honestly, I'm still nervous about poking my gums...takes some getting used to. Definitely helps though, less bleeding already.
