Yeah, I've noticed that too—fruit-based ice creams or sorbets seem way worse on my gums than chocolate or vanilla. I think it's not just acidity, though... could it also be the temperature? Weirdly, frozen fruit bars seem to trigger sensitivity faster for me than regular creamy ice cream, even if they're both equally cold. Saltwater rinses help me a bit, but switching to a sensitive toothpaste was honestly what made the biggest difference in the long run.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed this! Fruit bars used to be my go-to summer treat until my gums started protesting like cranky neighbors at a loud BBQ. I thought it was just age catching up with me (you know, teeth getting sensitive along with knees and patience...), but yeah, sensitive toothpaste was a game changer. Saltwater rinses are fine in a pinch, but honestly, switching toothpaste felt like upgrading from dial-up internet to WiFi—can't believe I waited so long. Hang in there, it does get better.

Have you tried OTC gels yet, though? Toothpaste helped me too, but honestly, a topical gel was the real lifesaver when things got rough. Might be worth a shot if toothpaste alone isn't cutting it...

I tried the gels too, and yeah, they do help. But honestly, nothing beats a good ol' saltwater rinse for me—cheap, easy, and reminds me of grandma's advice. Maybe I'm just old-school...or just old, haha.

Yeah, saltwater rinses are honestly underrated. I mean, gels can be good—I've tried a few myself—but sometimes they make my gums feel weirdly numb, which just makes me more anxious about what's going on in there. Saltwater feels gentler somehow...like less invasive or something? Plus, it's reassuring knowing exactly what's in it (just salt and water—can't really go wrong there).

One thing I've noticed though is that if I use warm water instead of cold, it seems to soothe the sensitivity a bit better. Maybe it's just psychological, but hey, whatever works, right? Also, I try not to overdo it because I once got paranoid and rinsed way too often...ended up irritating my gums even more. Lesson learned the hard way, haha.
