I was actually wondering about this myself. My dentist mentioned something similar—waiting around 20-30 minutes after rinsing before using any medicated gels. Apparently, it's to make sure the gel sticks better and doesn't get washed away. I haven't tried fluoride gels yet, but I've heard mixed things...some people swear by them, others say they didn't notice much difference. Might give it a shot though, because honestly, sensitive gums are becoming a real nuisance lately.

I totally get your frustration—sensitive gums can really mess with your day. I've tried saltwater rinses before, and while they do soothe temporarily, the relief never lasted long enough for me. I was hesitant about fluoride gels too, especially after reading mixed reviews online. But honestly, after weeks of discomfort and trying pretty much everything else, I finally gave one a shot.

My dentist also mentioned that waiting period after rinsing, and even though it felt like forever (I'm kind of impatient when it comes to routines), I stuck to it. Surprisingly, after about two weeks of consistent use, I did notice a significant difference. My gums weren't as irritated or sensitive to temperature changes anymore. It's not an overnight miracle or anything, but it's definitely helped more than saltwater alone ever did for me.

I'd say if you're dealing with persistent gum sensitivity that's interfering with daily life, it's probably worth giving fluoride gels a try...just be patient and consistent with them.

Glad you mentioned this—I had a similar experience. Fluoride gels felt like a hassle at first, but sticking with them really paid off. Patience is key, even if it's annoying at first...

Interesting to hear fluoride gels worked for you guys. I gave them a shot a while back, and honestly, I wasn't too impressed at first. Felt like just another thing cluttering up my bathroom counter, lol. But after a couple weeks, I did notice less sensitivity when drinking cold stuff—so maybe there's something to it? Still prefer saltwater rinses for quick relief, but now I'm curious if combining both would be even better...

Saltwater rinses are decent short-term, but my dentist mentioned they don't actually strengthen gums long-term. Fluoride gels felt too harsh for me—found aloe-based rinses gentler and surprisingly helpful. Might be worth a try if you're sensitive...
