do electric toothbrushes actually help whiten teeth noticeably?

Been using an electric brush for like a month now, and I swear my teeth look a lil brighter... or maybe it's just wishful thinking, lol. Quick poll—have you noticed your teeth getting visibly whiter with an electric toothbrush, or nah?

I've noticed a bit of difference too, actually. Been using mine for about 6 months now, and while it's not like a dramatic "Hollywood smile" type of change, my teeth definitely look less dull than before. I think electric toothbrushes are just better at removing surface stains from coffee or tea, you know? But if you're looking for a major whitening effect, you'd probably need to pair it with whitening toothpaste or strips.

Also, I feel like the freshness after brushing lasts longer with electric brushes compared to manual ones. Maybe that's just me though, haha. Have you tried combining it with any whitening toothpaste or mouthwash yet? Curious if that speeds things up noticeably...

I've actually tried pairing mine with whitening toothpaste for a few months now, and yeah, it does seem to speed things up a bit. Nothing drastic, but definitely noticeable. Mouthwash didn't do much extra for me personally, but everyone's different. Electric brushes are great at polishing off surface stains, but deeper discoloration usually needs something stronger like strips or professional whitening. Have you thought about trying those whitening pens? Heard mixed things, but some people swear by them...

I've been curious about whitening pens too, but honestly I'm a bit nervous about trying them. My cousin used one before her wedding and ended up with uneven patches—she was pretty stressed about it. But maybe she just applied it wrong? Electric toothbrushes definitely help me with coffee stains, but like you said, deeper discoloration seems stubborn. Might eventually try strips, though I've heard they can make your teeth sensitive...anyone had issues with that?
