I've been trying to upgrade from my old manual toothbrush lately, and wow, there's like a million electric toothbrushes out there. After spending way too much time digging around online, I ended up making myself a quick comparison chart (nerdy, I know) with prices, battery life, brush modes, and all that jazz. Turns out some expensive ones aren't even worth it. Anyway, if anyone else has tips or found cool features that actually matter, drop them here... I'm still deciding.

You're spot-on there. I've seen patients get fantastic results with mid-range brushes that just have a good timer and pressure sensor. Fancy features like Bluetooth tracking are fun at first, but honestly, who's really checking brushing stats every day...?

Totally agree with the timer and pressure sensor thing. I grabbed a mid-range brush last year on sale, and honestly, my dentist noticed the difference right away. Fancy tech is cool, but good brushing habits matter way more than Bluetooth stats...

Yeah, totally get what you mean about fancy tech. I bought one of those pricier Bluetooth brushes a while back because the hype got to me, but honestly, the app just made me more anxious about brushing "correctly" instead of helping. Pressure sensors thoughβ€”those are definitely helpful. Curious, has anyone found certain brush heads gentler on sensitive gums? Mine always feel irritated even when I'm careful...

Totally relate to the sensitive gums issue...been there myself. I found the softer "sensitive" brush heads from Oral-B pretty gentle. They're pricier than generic ones, but my gums thanked me later, lol. Might be worth a shot if you haven't tried yet?
